Scan for a microchip at a veterinarian clinic, an animal shelter, or by an Animal Care Officer.

Speak with neighbors and anyone else in the area who might know who owns the pet.

Walk or drive around the area where you found the pet and hang FOUND pet signs.

Share details on social platforms, including your local lost and found pets Facebook group.

Note: Keeping an animal for 15 days, according to the law makes you the owner.
