Scan for Microchip
Scan for a microchip at a veterinarian clinic, an animal shelter, or by an Animal Care Officer.

Socialize
Speak with neighbors and anyone else in the area who might know who owns the pet.

Post Flyers
Walk or drive around the area where you found the pet and hang FOUND pet signs.

Note: Keeping an animal for 15 days, according to the law makes you the owner.
