Surrendering Your Pet

We know that surrendering your pet can be a difficult decision and we are here to help you. Before bringing your pet to a shelter, consider other options first.

  • checkedReach out to family, friends and your extended network to find your pet a new home.
  • checkedReach out to animal rescue groups in your area.
  • checkedAs a last resort, you can surrender your pet at our shelter, if you live in our service area.
  • checkedBring your ID.
  • checkedBring your pet documents (vaccine records, neutering/spaying certificate, etc.).
  • checkedIf the animal is healthy and has not displayed unadoptable characteristics, it will be made available for adoption.
